I didn’t think the results for the Fish Poetry Prize were supposed to be out until Thursday, but they came out this morning. (Or perhaps this afternoon, if you’re thinking in Shannon time.)
I didn’t even get longlisted.
My initial reaction is “maybe I should just focus on novels”…but the Fish Prize is the opinion of just one poet. Why should her opinion matter to me?
I got into an academic literary review, which is/was judged by a professor (at least one). What are the FP judge’s credentials, besides just being a poet?
Yeah, that’s what I thought.
