Not Listening!

I love it when people prove that they're not paying attention. I shouldn't mess around with things like…well, let's call this company "Meiwaku"…but when Meiwaku won't stop calling, what are you going to do?

Sometime back, in order to get a Meiwaku rep off the phone, I gave them fake information. I was surprised when it showed up on my [excised] report; even more so when they didn't check my information to see if the places were real! Companies like that pretend that they're all high and mighty, when they really boil down to meiwaku–annoyances!

Let's break it down:

  • 2242 West Broadway Highway is a highway within the boundaries of my city (outside the city limits), but it's not real in this situation, because…
  • Provence is part of the Mediterranean region of France, but does not exist in…
  • North Carolina. There's a restaurant called Provence in North Carolina, but that's about as far as you can go. That leaves us with…
  • 33567, which I pulled out of my ass, but is actually the zip code to Plant City, Florida! (Quite weird, because that's where my great-aunt used to work as a nurse. But why would I know the zip code? She's been up here for ages!)

So that just goes to show: if you're going to work for a "high and mighty" company like Meiwaku (pardon the incoming cliche), YOU'D BETTER CHECK YOURSELF BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELF!
