Lies Made Real

Sixteen years ago, I predicted the future…in a roundabout, hand-me-down sort of way.

The funny part is, I didn’t see it coming!

If you hearken back to when I told the story of how Ophelia came to be (and even if you don’t, there’s a link at the bottom), you’ll remember I said I was going to be in Spider-Man 3. Before they (whoever “they” were) changed their minds, I was struggling to get them to send a contract, and one of my efforts was a fake acting resume. In an effort to make myself look good, I said I’d played Margaret “Hotlips” Houlihan in a school production of M*A*S*H.

Lo and behold, all these years later, guess what my alma mater is doing for their spring play?

(This is the part where I usually say, “Yeah, that’s not weird!”)

All these years later, would I play Margaret if given the chance?

Yes and no.

No, because she’s so horribly uptight and that’s not me. I’d rather play Nurse Kellye (provided there were no Asian actresses for the role).

Yes, because it would be a chance to prove my acting skills–though how you convince your Leo self to let your Capricorn self to come out onstage is beyond me! (Leos tend to be a bit more showoff-y, but Capricorns are sticklers for rules.)

There’s been some other weird stuff today, but this is all I’m blogging about. ^_^
